In Brisbane there are golf courses all over,
from basic 9 hole courses to lush 18 hole
courses. They offer everything for every golfer.
We have been playing at the local 9 hole which
has beautiful scenery, however it is VERY dry,
(there is serious drought here) you have to be
careful which club you use as it bounces for
miles, however this is great because it brings
your score down (most of the time). There are
lots of wildlife there to put you off, noisy miner
birds, Pelicans, Large dragon fly's,
multi-coloured parrotts, lizards, and probably a
lot more, it's definately worth taking a camera
as you just don't know what you'll see next!!!
We brought our golf clubs over, they
had to be scrubbed and scrubbed and
disinfected until they were gleaming.
Once we were here we had a look at
some golf shops and at the time of
looking clubs were cheaper here than
in the UK. Also remember you don't
need spikes here, the ground is rock
hard.
